Hi, I’m Luke Lewis, the founder of Luke Lewis Law Firm. I earned my law degree from The Southern University Law School and have since had the privilege of representing clients in a variety of personal injury legal matters, always with the goal of achieving the best possible outcomes for those I serve.

In addition to my legal practice, I am a licensed Louisiana State Contractor and a licensed Real Estate Broker, which uniquely positions me to handle property damage disputes effectively. I also hold a commercial pilot’s license, enabling me to quickly reach clients no matter where they are located.

Why personal injury law?

For many, personal injury law is a career. For us, it’s a mission. Our firm was built on firsthand experience with the injustice of the insurance industry. I didn’t set out to become a personal injury attorney. When I entered law school, my plan was to pursue property law, following in the footsteps of my family’s business. But everything changed when, in my second year, I was diagnosed with an autoimmune condition. My doctors knew exactly what medication I needed to manage my disease, yet I found myself fighting a different battle—one against my own insurance company.

Despite my doctors’ recommendations, the insurance company repeatedly denied my treatment. My condition worsened until I landed in the emergency room. It wasn’t until I faced the possibility of a life-altering surgery that they finally approved the medication I had needed all along. And this was with what most would consider “great” insurance.

That experience opened my eyes to the broken system that puts profits over people. It showed me what it feels like to be powerless against companies that don’t care about you—only their bottom line. That moment changed my path forever.
